Socket Communications announced that its complete line of Mobility Friendly CompactFlash connection and bar code scanning products supports the Axim series of Pocket PCs from Dell Computer Corporation that was announced last week.

According to Socket, its plug-in CompactFlash peripherals add Bluetooth and Wireless LAN connectivity to the Axim as well as a modem to connect to telephone networks, Ethernet connection cards to plug into local area networks, and Digital phone cards for wide area network access over mobile phones. In addition, Socket's bar code scanning CF plug-in cards turn an Axim into a bar code scanner.
