Extended Systems Updates Bluetooth Software Development Kit

Extended Systems , a provider of mobile data management and wireless connectivity solutions, has updated its Bluetooth Software Development Kit (SDK), XTNDConnect Blue SDK 1.1.4 for Windows CE.

The new version of the Bluetooth software development kit for CE devices adds support for seven additional Bluetooth profiles, provides additional APIs and sample applications, and offers tighter integration with the CE operating system for maximum stability and performance.

The company said XTNDConnect Blue SDK for Windows CE is a full-source software development kit that enables mobile device manufacturers to incorporate Bluetooth functionality into Windows CE/Pocket PC-based products. From PDAs and PC tablets to automotive systems and industrial equipment, XTNDConnect Blue SDK for Windows CE enables developers to integrate Bluetooth functionality into a broad range of CE-based products.

The seven additional Bluetooth profiles include: Headset (HP), Hands-free (HFP), File Transfer (FTP), Hard-copy Cable Replacement (HCRP), Cordless Telephony (CTP), Intercom (IP) and a beta version of Personal Area Networking (PAN).
