Synchrologic and Infokall have formed a partnership offer mobile access to backend systems used by the public safety and healthcare industries. The fruits of this partnership begin with a mobile and wireless solution for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Based on Synchrologic's iMobile Suite, Infokall said it plans to build a wireless handheld solution that will enable the officers of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, using Pocket PC 2002 devices, to accurately report notices served for bank garnishments, eviction notices and other civil process services provided by the law enforcement department. The process is currently tracked and monitored using a paper-based form that may contain errors or omissions resulting in legal inaccuracies and inefficiencies.

The companies said the system will also provide the administrative staff of the sheriff's department the ability to track and view officer field activity on a more real-time basis, as well as give the department's IT staff the mobile systems management tools to deliver software, files and other information to the Pocket PC's and track the hardware and software assets on the mobile devices in the field.
