Senior Analyst
The thunderhawk web browsing environment is very intuitive, with clear fonts and presentation of web sites... but the design implementation needs some optimization. The user interactions are too slow for this to be a real "contender" at this time... but it is a good solution for accessing web sites that are not mobile enhanced.

Not what I've found
Although there are some limitations of Thunderhawk (i.e. the scrolling is very slow and not being able to copy text from pages, I have found that running the program from my memory card to work just fine. I've been using for 2 weeks now and no problems so far.

Buggy and slow
I downloaded the demo and it is slow and crashes too much. Not ready for prime time and at $50 not a contender.

Not quite what it seems
The previous opinion that i read was correct - Thunderhawk does not work if it's installed on the sd card. it's a whopping program at around 0.75 of a meg. There has to be a better solution than subscription software -

Installing Thunderhawk on the Ipaq
In my opinion, Thunderhawk is a great product, and I suggest every one with a Pocket PC should try it out. However, be careful. The product does not install right, at least on my pc. First the program must be installed in the Main memory. However, even when I directed it to go there it did not do so. It created two folders in tow differnt parts of my 3870 Ipaq: one folder called "Bitstream......" ( I forgot the rest), which contains all the necessary files, went into my "Ipaq Storage file" folder. The other called simply "th", containing only two small files, was created in the computer's main memory. The Executable file went to the Windows folder. Need less to say it, when I clicked on the Thunderhawk name in the pull-down menu to run the program, it simply did not run. What made this experience even worse was the fact that Bitstream's tech support is unreachable. You can communicate with through email only, which was not helpful to me.What I did do to resolve this nightmare? I physically moved all the files in the "bitstream folder to the "th" folder, and it worked beautifully. It was worth the trouble because the prgram is great, giving a new life and flavor to my Ipaq. I urge all Pocket PC owners to try it (there is a 30-day trial period). You will be glad you did it.
