Get in line
You would be lucky if you could purchase one even within the first year of its "official" release.

Can HP compete?
My hope is that HP will put out a device that is at least competive or better.
Personaly, I would be willing to try it out.

Competative w/ laptops
I think that it can be verry competitive against laptops. It has all the specs to be as good or better than many of the ultra-light laptops on market now. I just wish they had a biggr hard drive. Why cant they use the same 45gig drivethat ipod uses?

OQO, Come And Get It
It is now obvious that this unit is not going to be priced competitively against "HP" and the likes. In order for a company to sink the capital needed to bring this device to market, it needs to be price near the thousand dollar range. This means it will have to go against laptops and there is where the problem starts. OQO should bring a similar device that does not have the power or the memory of the device shown. A pda with 512 mb's of RAM and the same xscale processor that resides in the HP 5555 would be a knockout. Add a camera, phone, and GPS capability and this would keep all the wolves at bay. Convergence will be the key in this decade, and whoever dares to come to market first will have the lion's share of the market.

Vaporware
This thing has been on all the boards at least twice. They haven't updated their website in forever. I don't think it'll ever be released to market.
