Baracoda to Present Bluetooth Barcode Scanners

Baracoda, a company that develops Bluetooth technology and applications, plans to introduce a range of Bluetooth-enabled wireless barcode scanners at CeBIT in Hanover, Germany from March 12-19.

According to Baracoda, it has developed a full range of Bluetooth barcode scanners, including what it claims is the first Bluetooth wireless scanner, the BaracodaPencil, which was introduced last June and has been available in the U.S. and Europe since November.

The company said the BaracodaPencil could be adapted to different applications, including e-CRM, real-time logistics, multi-channel convergence, and m-commerce. It is capable of reading, decoding and transferring data in real-time to Bluetooth-enabled PCs, access points, PDAs and phones.

Baracoda said it would introduce at CeBIT an extension of the range of its Mobile Barcode Scanner and present a new Bluetooth barcode scanner dedicated to both the retail and the warehousing industries.
