By PocketPC City Staff
Santa Clara-based semiconductor company Zeevo's Bluetooth System-on-a-Chip solution has been integrated into two of Hewlett-Packard's newest iPAQ Pocket PCs, the dual slot (CompactFlash and Secure Digital) iPAQ h2210 and the slim budget-priced iPAQ h1940. Both of these iPAQs, along with the h5550 and h5150 were announced earlier this week.
Bluetooth is a personal area network wireless technology that enables users to synchronize and share data locally. Integrated Bluetooth wireless capability is offered across the iPAQ Pocket PC family, allowing connectivity to Bluetooth notebook PCs, printers and accessories, as well as access to remote data when combined with a Bluetooth enabled phone.
Mobile printing software shipping with the new models allows users to take advantage of the integrated Bluetooth capability to wirelessly printing email attachments, documents or photos from the Pocket PC to Bluetooth enabled printers.
According to Zeevo, with its TC2001 chip, all RF components such as filter, balun, and matching network, along with flash memory are integrated, making the design easy for a handheld vendor to implement. Related Links:
