Ok?if you don't want to update
This system is ok at best. The big problem is Dell and Navteq. Neither one of them will give you any help for downloading new maps, which do not exist. Which suck because dell said there will always be updates available. Not the case. DO Not get this for the nav, buy
a Tom Tom

Good one Dell
I have used the Dell GPS system in both the UK and the US and can find no fault with it. Punch in an address and it takes you right there. If the system is ggod enough for all of the major car makers (BMW, GM etc) then it's gets a real big thumbs up from me.

GPS does not work
Dell GPS system is fundementally flawed. It has never taken anywhere as it stops receiving halfway through due to faulty software

No SIRF III?
Besides the other problems, not even Dell could tell me if the GPS receiver used the newer SIRF III chipset. If not, that would account for the problem aquiring satellites. TO pay that much for an outdated system would not be wise, you could buy the PDA standalone, and then get a SIRF III receiver and the third party software of your choice cheaper than the $279.00 they charge.

Dells GPS system works great
Easy to install and I have not had a problem going anywhere. Always direct to exactly where I need to go.
Great job Dell.

less than average
Just would like to say that the Dell GPS software is less than average and just too basic, I tested the software for alterenate routes (why is there no selection for this BTW) does Dell expect traffic congestion not to occur?? why did you guys give up on TomTom it's a far more advanced product and gives the user the abitliy to update his POI's this is a plus if you live in the UK and wish to know Speed camera Locations. so come on Dell dump this POS and give us back our TOMTOM !!!! I want My TomTom !! am I having a TomTom Tantrum!!!

Axim GPS Works Great
I've noticed the other reviews and how they were disappointed. Well, personally I think it works great. I've had no problems and always get directed to my location. Thanks Dell!!!
