The IPAQ hx4700 series Warrenty
Well for one this pda is awesome, but has a big flaw. The flaw is that the Warrenty is a joke, Hp has put the warrenty seal on the outside, so basically anybody who takes their stylus and mistakens the reset button for the plastic/rubbery HP symbol on the upper left back of the IPAQ ....well i have a few words for u, ur warrenty has just been voided. I don't know wat reason any company would put a warrenty seal where it can be easily broken, apparently talking to a hp rep. its on the cd, but whos going to read pages upon pages of info, heck the Support persons i talked to never even read the full manual. Well in my opinion this is like putting a stop sign a mile down the road from a 4-way intercection.

I agree with both reviews
I could never go back to a non-VGA screen like before this PDA. I love my 4700 for many reasons including screen. But... I completley agree that there was no reason to not increase RAM. In fact I'd not mind if they kept the ROM the same (which is increasable easily through SD cards and CF cards) and increased RAM instead. This decision on HPs part still boggles me (especially since if they didn't increase ROM they could sell SD cards and make more money but they don't sell an upgrade for RAM.. in fact you have to go to some outside company and void your warranty and pay uber bux to upgrade RAM... but at least it's availuble). I'd really like to ask the person(s) who made this particular design decision why.

Most memory my @$$
Most internal memory? It has a measely 64MB RAM! Hello! Multitasking anyone? HP has some issues with their products. I still do not get why they didn't attach another 64MB RAM to this pocket PC and make everyone happy. Maybe battery issues, but if you can't fully utilize the multitasking abilities of a 624 MHz processor, why bother? If Low memory drives you insane, go with the hx2755, which has 128 MB of RAM! I am still puzzled though as to why HP did not put a VGA screen similar to the one on the hx4705 on the hx2755.

Hard to find a fault..
I've been using the Hx4700 (same as the 4705) for 3 months now, and I could never go back to a 320x240 (no VGA) device. HP also seems to have a good wireless chip set in this one, the bluetooth requires a soft reset tobe turned on often times but other than that a fabulous device leaving little to be desired. If you can afford it this device will keep you happy for years.
