Content Beamer Local ($29) from ThinPrint enables BlackBerry handhelds to print e-mail texts, calendar entries, contact data, tasks and memos wirelessly. When downloaded, the command for Bluetooth printing is automatically integrated directly into the BlackBerry menu.

Wine Enthusiast Guide
The 2006 edition of LandWare's Wine Enthusiast Guide for Palm handhelds now contains every wine reviewed by Wine Enthusiast magazine, enhanced cellar management tools, expanded vintage charts, wine tutorials, and a 1,400-term glossary. It covers over 34,000 wines worldwide, over three times the number included in previous years.

The software is available as a $19.95 download or $24.95 MultiMediaCard.

Holiday Ringtones
Electric Pocket, developer of the Ringo ringtone manager for Treo smartphones, has a new collection of 20 free Christmas and New Year ringtones that will be provided with all new Ringo purchases and separately to existing Ringo users. The Christmas ringtones can be downloaded directly to the Treo, from Ringo’s built-in Ringtones Store.

ZAGAT TO GO Version 4.0 of ZAGAT TO GO, the mobile version of Zagat Survey’s popular restaurant and entertainment guides, is compatible with Palm and Windows Mobile for Pocket PC PDAs and smartphones. It features include wireless content updates, detailed street-level maps, and turn-by-turn driving directions to the user’s desired destination. As always, the subscription-based service offers the latest reviews, ratings, pricing and other information for thousands of restaurants, nightspots, stores, golf courses and more.

The service costs $24.95 per year, delivering access 60 plus guides of Zagat Survey content.

Oxford Dictionary & Thesaurus
Handmark has also released a version of the New Oxford American Dictionary bundled with The American Writer’s Thesaurus for Windows Mobile. The title is the first appearance ever for the American Writer’s Thesaurus on a portable device, as well as the first time these references have been combined into a single product for mobile device use.

The New Oxford American Dictionary, Second Edition is the result of 50 editor-years of work by Oxford’s American editorial staff. The Oxford American Writer’s Thesaurus is a brand new reference resource that marks the first time a thesaurus has been developed by writers for writers.

The Jewish Study Bible ($39.99) is for Palm and Windows Mobile PDAs and smartphones. It was developed by forty Jewish biblical scholars and has an emphasis on the Torah. Study features of The Jewish Study Bible include bookmark and search features, the ability to jump to specific verses, section and book introductions, and informative essays that address a wide array of topics relative to the Bible’s place in Jewish history and tradition.

My Little Tank
My Little Tank is an arcade-style game for Palm OS 5.0 devices with hi-res screens and Windows Mobile for Pocket PC and Smartphone, including support for Windows Mobile 5.0. It features 60 levels, where the goal is to shoot enemy tanks, defend your base, and destroy enemy radar stations and bases. You will encounter a range of hostile terrains including snow, swamp, plains and deserts. As levels progress, tougher enemies will appear that require more than one shot or more effective weapons.

Broken Sword
Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars for Palm OS handhelds ($29.95) is a new game developed by Astraware with Revolution Software. Originally created for PC and PlayStation, and now available for handhelds, Broken Sword is the story of George Stobbart—an American tourist on vacation in Europe—who becomes embroiled in a conspiracy when he witnesses the theft of an ancient manuscript and the assassination of its owner. A Windows Mobile for Pocket PC version will follow in February 2006.

Sudoku Update
Astraware has updated its popular puzzle game Sudoku. Now users can download the Puzzle of the Day over the air using connected Palm and Windows Mobile devices. The new Puzzle of the Day option offers a brand new Sudoku puzzle at each difficulty level. This feature also lets users submit their times directly from their device and see how they rank against other players worldwide for the same puzzle.

The update is free to all registered owners of the game. Sudoku is currently discounted to $9.95 from its regular price of $19.95.
