By SmartPhoneToday Staff
In addition to the Treo 755p, the 1921 is compatible with the Treo 680 and Treo 750. As with the 1920, this case promises to safeguard these Treos from water, dust and drops while enabling complete user interaction with those devices' keyboards, touch screens, volume and program buttons. As with past OtterBox cases, the 1921 is composed of polycarbonate/ABS and rubber overmolding to meet IP-67 and MIL SPEC 810 ratings for water, dust and drop protection. A rigid screen cover protects the LCD and flips up for interactive screen use, while a compound latch provides an easy to open yet secure closing, according to the company. Acoustic vents enable sound transmission while protecting against dust and water. Headset, sync and charge connectors remain accessible and Treo 750 users can even operate IR through the case. Just like with the 1920 the 1921 replicates all the keys and buttons of a Treo. So when you pressed a letter on the case, for example, while the Treo is inside it, the corresponding letter on the actual Treo depresses. An optional belt clip or holster is available. The case measures 5.1 x 3 x 1.9 inches and weighs 0.6 pound. The 1921 isn't listed on OtterBox's Web site yet. It is likely the 1921 will go for the same amount as the 1920, which is $129.95.
