ROM upgrades, which often deliver important new features (such as platform updates), fixes and enhancements, are available for a variety of recent Windows Mobile smartphones. Whether you choose to upgrade will depend somewhat on your carrier and your device. Take a look at what the upgrade promises and then decide.

But, before beginning an upgrade, be sure to back-up your device.

The ROM upgrade will wipe the slate clean-including third party apps as well as user data. Remove your SIM card and microSD chip, if you're using those, to protect the data on them. Once you've backed up, you can get specifics on various upgrades at the following links:
