We are looking for an HP (or ex-HP) CE or CEDM to provide subject matter expertise on HP3000 MPE and HP UNIX Hardware and Operating System software and help desk support. This person should be knowledgeable about available parts and logistics in supporting these mature systems. We will need this person to operate an HP lab on-site in the Bay Area used to reproduce problems. This lab is still be to established, so design and development of the lab might be required. Position requirements will include this person to liaise with sub-contracted on-site engineers and train existing Sun Solaris engineers on the HP platform. This position requires a minimum of 8 years of experience with HP Server products, MPE, 3000, and 9000, and HP UNIX, and at least three years of experience with Field Delivery, as this person must have the ability to deliver as an independent in a 3rd party market. It would be helpful if this person was Accredited in MPE System Administration. This person also needs to have experience training and mentoring, as well as management. HP or ex-HP CE or CEDM experience required. I don't know whether or not anyone on this site would be a fit for this, but I thought I would try.
