HI there to everyone,
Help needed, My Mobilon 4600 display won't come on on battery power,I've tried resetting, removing all batteries, even ROM/memory card an all but in vain still same problem,
To go into detail If I power up the Mobilon on battery power an I wait the 8 seconds after the full reset I hear the startup sound an if I press a key or tap on the screen I hear the key clicks or screen tabs, but the screen doesn't show. Now if I plug the AC adaptor in the unit the screen comes on an every thing works normal, but now if I unplug the AC adaptor again the screen goes back black/off but the keys an screen an programs still funtion without a display. I've notice in the daytime if I turn it on on battery power there is a slight drak green glow/flash an when turned off it goes off. I have tesed the battery for continuity an it passed an voltage, on 1 side only 1 conector works an on the other 2, which when tested a voltage reading comes from both the connectors. I've realsied the side with only 1 connector given a reading coninsides with the right side of the Mobions battery compartment that only has 1 connector so I think that the battery is operating normal. Coold any of you technition or anybody out there give me some light to this problem, an please tell me it has soething to do with the battery an not the unit. If its the unit where can I carry it to get repaired an approx how much would it cost, I hear repairing simple thing on these units is very costly, an I'm a student who needs this unit an that would pull a student's pockets considering they don't work
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
Sorry for the long message, but I had to explain the prob. in detail,.
