Velo 1 connection problems -- please help me!

Posted By: jwalters69 (Registered) E-mail: See Profile Date: 06/26/2002 at 02:09:18 Message: I'm running Windows 2000 and trying to connect to my Velo 1 which is Running Windows CE1.0 (I have the 2.0 rom but if I put that in the Velo just freezes... i got no idea why that happens so i gave up). When i run the h/pc 1.1 explorer software, I get a message saying "Cannot start communications services. The remote access service (RAS) is failing to start for an unknown reason. Close all applications, disconnect the h/pc serial cable and restart the desktop PC. if this error continues to occur, consult the communications troubleshooter topic in the troubleshooting section of the h/pc explorer help". Since I can't get in the h/pc exploer, there is no way i can read the help!!!! I tried setting up a modem in the dialup part of windows 2000 and set it as 'computers connected by cable".. that didn't work. I tried to start the remote administration and routing services from the control panel but they won't allow me to start them. pleasepleaseplease help me. I just got this bought this item today from ebay and I'm so mad that I feel like selling it right now. I have 2 4 meg flash cards, 1 4meg dram and the ce2.0 upgrade. Thanks for your help!
