In my case, I had a PC card modem and wireless network cards, as well as IBM microdrives, the latter using a lot of battery. So the PC card sleeve let me use those things I had instead of buying new, and I think the PC sleeve battery helps with the microdrives. Just depends on what you have and what you want to use.
