3800 ROM 1.2 upgrade. Any good?

I took your advice and backed up first, and the upgrade went ok (ish!) and I now have 1.20 ROM installed. Problem is that it now won't let me restore my (full) backup as it's saying it's for a different device. Any ideas? Is there a way to force it? I have set the name of the device to the same as it was before, and it's saying I already have a relationship set up for that and do I want to rename my device, or connect as a Guest...
