Message:

I have just bought the e740 and everything was working fine but after using it for just two days I have encountered a problem with the battery charge/battery. Last night the device was virtually fully charged but this morning when I turned on the device I received a message to change my battery or to connect to a power outlet. I then checked the power settings and the device was showing only 1% charge. I know I didn't accidentally switch it on by pressing the record button as I made sure the device was off before retiring. So this morning I tried recharging the device but it would only charge back up to 23%. I then did a soft reset just to see if the power app was a little confused but this had no effect. So I have now done a hard reset, which now of course I have lost all my data, but the device still will only charge to 23%/22%. Is this device defective? Any ideas?

Thanks a lot in advance.
