Perfect - can't put it down
Bought late 2001 to replace damaged Psion Series 7 - use for admin as teacher. Children are fascinated with it - not that I let them touch it! Only lost it once - senior member of staff found it down behind the photocopier...

Now I put it firmly in my pocket...without fail (mostly!)

Tried laptops...they broke my wrist carrying around the classroom. Tried tablet PC recently - too bulky (!) in comparison.

My ideal? An IPAQ with a 50% bigger screen (higher resolution) so I can see my whole class without scrolling! ...and battery life which allowed it to be on more than an hour a day would be quite nice!

iPAQ 3760 - fair opinion
Weak battery. After 1,5 h of work - battery low, after 3 h - end of battery. Not 9 h!
With this batery this iPAQ is useles.
If you want to do something more with it, you need to buy "expansion pack" with second battery. (you need more money!) After that your iPAQ is biger than your pocket - it's not pocket PC!
Operating system is a mistake. Maybe iPAQ has CPU 206Mhz but with windows Pocket PC 2002 this speed is not efective.
There is more software for PalmOS (about 70% more!!)
Weak display, you can scratch it with a stylus (witch is designed for this iPAQ, it's another mistake).
I've made my mistake to buy it. Now I regret...

Superb Handheld!
I recently bought an H3765 for $324 refurbished. It came with everthing that should come with the brand new item, plus an extra stylus. I also have an H3150 that I use for appointments and writing short e-mails, which I also wrote a review on. The H3765's battery life is good, considering it has a power-hungry color screen, especially when the backlight is on. 64 MB of RAM is plenty to play games, listen to MP3's and read E-books. The expansion pack with a battery would be a big plus to have to improve battery life, although I do not know if you would need to get more memory, considering the hefty amount that is in it. Also, the built in 6 MB iPAQ ROM File Store is good to have to store important files if the battery dies. The File Store is in ROM so anything that goes in stays in when the battery dies, although you treat it just like a storage card, excpet it is built in. The internal speaker is loud and clear, and the microphone records nicely. Windows Media playback is smooth. For a color handheld with a total of 70 MB of Storage that gets good battery life, this handheld is the best.

IPAQ 3635 is excellent
easy to use, excellent in form, factor and all around an excellent device.

I got rid of a Diamond Mako because it couldn't do MP3's and I wanted Color.

This device has captured my enthusiasm. It is easy to compose e-mails, etc using the "software tap keyboard", my version has 16mb ROM and 32MB Ram - more than enough for what I use it for:
to include read and composing responses to my average 20 E-mail a day.

My daily newspapers (8 of them downloaded from Mobipocket.com!),

Pocket Word and Excel to keep my records for my "used computer shopping" sideline business I do.

Total replacement for a Franklin
And replacement of address books.

Storage and accessablity of several resource documents that, in bound book form, form a stack 38 inches tall and 45 lbs!

And on the 32mb Compact Flash storage card, I have 130 minutes of MP3's

And My Picture Album (25 photos of kids, family and friends).

and two e-books for the odd chance I get to actually read a little light stuff!

I get about 8 hours on the battery, but then I'm usually doing two things (music and reading) at once!! I have car and 2nd (desk at work) chargers.

Wonderful!

A Good Trade
I used the new Sony Clie' 610 and enjoyed the produc, but I missed the power and functionality of my Casio E125.After careful reading, combined with budget realities, I decided on the Ipaq 3760. I love the great looks, the expandability, and the new PPC 2002 operating system. I sincerely do not miss the Clie and am soooo glad to be back home with the PPC!
