Fantastic Little Machine!
Can I just say again, fantastic device. Had it for about 4 months now and prolly abused the heck out of it, (even shorted the poor bugger out a few days ago) and it has been flawless.
One thing I do LOVE about it is, you don't need to install third party software to do small little tweaks, like the bluetooth headset audio switch and bluetooth dialing is built in. I'm not sure if these things are on all roms with bluetooth, I see many applications to do what it already can and are written for WM2003.
I haven't had the wifi shut down on me yet, but that prolly has something to do with the USB wireless adapter which is replaceable, as with all of the parts in the iPaq. However, iPaq need to rid of the "Organiser" softkeys, volume key is too easily pressed(since there on the side :S), and the nav button is horrable for playing games. A set of media keys, could have sold this device as media device more then just an enterprise data assistant.
I'm sure they have addressed most issues, if not in the H4700 but atleast in the 100 and 200 series.

Yung: I thought that the iPaq H5000 Series had consumer IR. I beleive you need a non-Fast IR port to use Nevo TV Remote, and it's what I use to control everything in the house.

Neville: What on earth did you do to it? That must have been one hard tap, because I haven't had any problems so far. iPaq screens are quite strong so they don't give too much when pressure is applied, but if they bend to far, they shatter because of there brittleness.

Died after 2 years
My HP5555 was great when it worked, save for frequent system crashes, not unexpected with Windows. The unit died, just upped and died after 2 years or so. It's going in the trashcan. Too expensive to fix. $600 for two years? Not great value for money, I would say.

GREATEST HANDHELD EVER!
It is just amazing all the things I can do with my IPAQ H5555, I bought the CF Expansion pack plus, the SD camera, 2.2 GB CF Microdrive, Radio CF card, Prolink PD203 CF card for presentations and the foldable keyboard. I do not know why I still need a heavy laptop for work, I got everything I need on my IPAQ, even my favorite games, pictures, videos, dvd movies, and I even syncronized with my Sony Ericsson celular phone, my laptop and my ipaq using bluetooth. What are you waiting for?

I like it!
Kinda pricey, but feature packed. The only problems I've had were with the WiFi suddenly shutting down, even with more than half battery strength, and without warning. It's supposed to shut down when the battery's low, but occasionally it would shut down on its own. It's easy to use, but the volume buttons on the side are a little strange. The WiFi picked up my desktop without any problems, and sync'ed on the first try wirelessly. I would have liked the consumer infrared (CIR?), just like with the 5400 series, and maybe a battery bar in the Today screen.
