Fantastic even after 2 years
This device continues to be ahead of its time in performance. The processor speed is great, the screen is large and easy to see. I make periodic backups. If I don't use it for several days, it maintains its power and charges up quickly. Great investment. The Toshiba site is weak but their products typically are cheaper and I wasn't expecting support anyway.

You get what you pay for
I got my E755 in Oct. 2003. I opted for the Toshiba b/c it was cheaper than comparable IPAQs. Well, I guess I learned why. While the E755 has lots of nice features, it had issues from Day 1. The main problem was that it would get locked up a few times a week. Not a real big deal since a simple reset would fix it but still annoying. I think it worked well for calanders, mail, notes and avantgo. It was also fine as an mp3 player and photo album. Well, it died a few weeks ago on me. One minute it was working fine on the airplane and an hour later at the hotel it was dead. I thought it was a battery issue and bought a new battery but to no avail. The unit gets hot when I try to recharge it but no light appears and the unit still won't turn on.

get a Palm instead
I just got off the phone with Toshiba Tech Support for my e750. He was no help. My PDA stopped working completely after not using it for a while. The guy informed me that it went out of warranty (well after the first instance of not working though) but he could replace it for $139. Who the heck wants a PDA that will randomly blow up on you?I was already having problems with it anyways - it kept doing weird things like resetting by itself, locking up, etc. I don't want anyone anywhere to be out as much money as I am now. I bought this thing when it came out for like around $400. I'm a sucker, but you don't have to be.

Poor display performance and support
I have had and e755 for several months after my Palm m500 fried my pc with static issues. I really expected a lot from Toshiba and paid dearly for this device. It has been returned for service three times for touch screen display malfunction. This requires hard reset and the subsequent need to reinstall everything. Very frustrating. I am really in need of some solid advice on a bulletproof device (Pocket PC so I can use Outlook).

Great bargain?slight limitations
After various rebates and price reductions from Circuit City last month, I purchased the e755 with Windows Mobile 2003 already installed for only $299. Snap it up at this price if you like the PocketPC. Although it's appearance is a bit more spartan than most, it appears to have MORE bells and whistles than any other current brand/model...even those that cost twice as much! With free WiFi hotspots springing up all over the place right now (work, schools, coffee shops, public libraries), having WiFi built in is fantastic. No more fussing with pulling out/losing access to the files on my 256meg CF memory card to insert a CF WiFi card to check Email or something else on the web. No more carrying extra memory cards, etc. This is THE handy gadget the PocketPC was meant to be. The slight limitations: The screen size is just a wee-bit smaller than my previous PocketPC (Casio E-125) but it shows up a LOT better outdoors, It is also still significantly larger than the too-small screens that are now on the majority of other brands/models. Also, the hardware or OS does seem to be slightly buggy: the system does lock up from time to time...a bit more frequently than my Casio did. A soft-reset sets things straight, but it's still a little annoying. But at this price, I can easily live with it.
