Anyone who knows Lonely Planet travel guides appreciates not only the real
insider information, but also the stimulating and vivid descriptions of country
and people. Now MAP&GUIDE together with gate5 presents Map & Travel Top
Cities Europe feat. Lonely Planet, a digital city guide containing information
from Lonely Planet travel guides available for 16 of Europe's best-loved cities.
Want to sample the most delicious tapas in traditional Madrid, find a hotel
with a lake view in Stockholm or simply get the opening times of the Louvre? Map
& Travel Top Cities Europe will put you on the right track. This portable
city guide, now available in English for several European cities (Amsterdam,
Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, Copenhagen, Dublin, Florence, London, Madrid,
Munich, Paris, Rome, Stockholm, Venice, Vienna and Zurich), combines an
interactive city map and a route planner and is available as a download or CD
ROM.
Instead of volumes of maps and travel literature, travellers now only need a
PocketPC as they set out to explore new cities. Information is clearly divided
according to the usual Lonely Planet categories Sleep, Eat, See, Shop and Night.
Each tip is displayed on a separate page in the established format. And if you
find something interesting, you can have it shown directly on the interactive
map.
Not only that, but you can
have your position shown directly on the map using a GPS receiver.
Trial Version is running only on Arm and mips processors! It is a version with only London inner city sector!
